Overview
The Douglas County e-Filing portal gives you access to Douglas County District Court records and filing services. Use the portal to:
- e-File new cases and documents on existing cases.
- Manage and register for e-Service.
- View, request, and/or purchase Douglas County District Court records.
- Pay court fines on criminal cases.
NOTE: E-filers are reminded that submissions received after 5:00 p.m. or on weekends and holidays will not be reviewed until the next business day. If the submission is approved, the file stamp will reflect the date and time the filing was electronically submitted by the e-Filer.

- e-File new case, documents, e-Service
- Documents filed must be in PDF format.
- For Civil Cases you no longer need to file a Civil Coversheet.
Records Request
- View Documents on your case.
Protection Orders
- Submit a request for a Protection Order on your case.
- Submit a request for a Protection Order in a juvenile matter.
Pay Criminal Fines
- Pay fines on a criminal case, as long as restitution is paid in full.
Case Search
- Search and view case information.
- View the docket.
- View upcoming hearings.
What Can I View?
- Adult criminal cases
- Civil cases
- Probate and Guardianship cases
- All Family Law cases with the exception of those cases that are sealed pursuant to statute
- Paternity and Juvenile cases are only accessible by the parties on the case

NOTE: Records that are restricted, pursuant to Nevada Revised Statute will not be accessible through the portal. You can contact the Clerk’s office to inquire about these records.
Access to online viewing of Douglas County District Court records is governed by Nevada e-Filing rules and the Ninth Judicial District Court Rule 32.

NOTE: Currently, most transactions are processed in under 2 hours, however, any monetary e-filing received after 5:00pm will not be processed until the following business day.

Common Issues/Questions
Problem: If you are unable to download or open your documents while on a tablet or mobile device.
Solution: Go to your device settings and make sure you have a PDF reader or viewer app set to open up your documents. If you do not have a PDF reader or viewer app, one can be downloaded from the app store.
Problem: Under My Cases I am not seeing the case that I am a party on.
Solution: Please contact Support and include the case number you are not able to access.
Problem: I changed my email and now I do not see any of my cases.
Solution: If there is a change to the attorney’s email, the firm’s email, or the secretary’s email, our system will not automatically make those changes. The clerk’s office must be notified of the email change by calling the clerk’s office directly.
Problem: How do I file through the Portal if it’s our first appearance on a case?
Solution: Please email Notice of Appearance to the Clerk’s Office . The Clerks will then add you to the case and grant the access.
Problem: I did not receive my confirmation email.
Solution: The email is sent to the email that was used during registration.
Problem: How do I file exhibits?
Solution: All exhibits need to be attached to your document as one PDF.
Problem: Why can’t I view documents?
Solution: If you are not a party on the case you will not be able to download and view the document. If you are party on the case, go to My Cases and click on View Documents in the Action Menu.
Problem: My Document Name is not available in the drop down list.
Solution: Please contact the Clerk’s Office or email
