Law Library

Legal Research

Across the globe, LexisNexis provides customers with access to billions of searchable documents and records from more than 45,000 legal, news and business sources.

While there are books available at the Douglas County Law Library, which include the Nevada Revised Statutes, most research is now done on the computer. There is a computer available to the public for such research with free access to LexisNexis® research. Information can be downloaded to a thumb drive for free and anything printed from the computer can be picked up at the District Court Clerks Office for .50 cents per page. A fee of .50 cents per page will be charged for all copies.

The process is user friendly. This manner of maintaining the law library allows for the most current information in the least amount of space.

The law library is available during normal business hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. excluding holidays.
