Overview

The Douglas County Juvenile Detention Center is a 24-hour holding facility that provides for the temporary, secure, and safe custody of juveniles ages 10 to 18 who are accused of conduct subject to the jurisdiction of the Court and require a restricted environment for their own or the community’s protection while pending legal action.

It is incumbent upon the Douglas County Juvenile Detention Center staff to unconditionally provide for the detainee’s health, safety, and welfare, in a reasonable homelike environment during the course of their detainment. (NRS 62B.510)
